When your kids are right, they are right!

So Sunday after church we took James to his truck and Morgan started crying because she didn't get to spend that much time with her daddy this weekend. But as we were leaving she ask me why daddy had a job that caused him to be away from us? My response was, "because his job requires him to be away". So she sits there for a bit and then ask me, "well mommy, can I pray that God will bring daddy home or is that a selfish prayers?" I tell her she can pray that and it wouldn't be selfish of her to ask God to do that, but she needed to be careful HOW she prayed. So then she ask, but mommy why does daddy have to be gone, so I answer with a quick answer in hopes she would drop it, "so he can earn money and provide the things we need". A few seconds pass by and I am thinking ok...I'm good that has shut her up...and all of a sudden she says, "but mommy, God provides everything we need!"

All I could do was laugh and of course tell her she was right. So now all I get to hear is, I was right, I was right! Gosh I really thought I would have at least 5 more years before I heard this! Oh well...just glad she was right and was actually paying attention to me when we talked about this because I really thought she was not paying attention at all!
